If you have not given this place a try it’s a MUST! You cannot go wrong whether it’s a steak & baked potato you are craving or a burger,seafood combo, or chicken fried steak/chicken! There isn’t anything that isn’t worth 5 stars here! Also their desserts are phenomenal. The peach cobbler is homemade and delicious, and the chocolate pie is the best in the state! Not to mention they are the most amazing people to work for. Great family owned place & it’s BYOB so come see us and enjoy some yummy food!

OMG!!!!! I love this place!!! Food was WONDERFUL!!! Peighton was our server and she was awesome! And the owner’s son was kind as well and made sure my sweet tea was full!

The first thing you notice is the outside look of the restaurant doesn’t come across as appetizing nor clean. But once you walk in it becomes very homey. The bathrooms were clean and although the place seems large, it’s the mirrored wall giving that illusion. It’s nice. We love appetizers but not at $10 for 6 mozzarella sticks. Come on now. They did have a special which sounded good but a burger is always fun in a new place. The sodas and tea is either $2.95?94 $3.95. that’s super expensive and price gouging. I didn’t care for that part but I thought that a burger and fries for 10 bucks was reasonable so I ordered that I ordered extra lettuce extra pickles with a little bit of extra mayonnaise and I devoured that sandwich. It was so delicious. It was good. it was wet. It was juicy. The fries were crisp. I thought it was good for the price. Would I go back? Yes I would go back. The chicken fried steak was also good as was the baked potato that my friend ordered. Still two meals at lunchtime for 35 bucks is a lot of money could be a little bit more affordable.

Great stuff!! I decided to try this little place. My taste buds are extremely happy I did! The ribeye was full of flavor and tender. Baked potato was perfection. Loaded with butter cheese and sour cream. Nice, crunchy salad. The icing on the experience was the service. The young lady was knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating. I simply mentioned I would need to get a bowl of beans next visit so I could properly enjoy the cornbread served with my meal. They magically appeared! I'm soo full! Stop by and give them a try!

This was a pleasant surprise after trying to go to a different steak restaurant and they were closed for unknown reasons at 6 PM on Sunday. Now I know I’ll visit this place over the national chain again. Service was excellent food came out prompt and correct. Steaks were good and the chicken was very well flavored. Potatoes and salads were all excellent.

We really enjoyed this little country cookin’ spot! Our server was kind and very attentive. Drinks were never more than half empty. She explained all the menu options/substitutions perfectly. And our food was decent. Overall, great experience and will return/recommend!

We were traveling through the area and came across this place. Doesn't look much from the outside but the inside is very homey and welcoming. We loved our food and our waitress was so sweet. Definitely would recommend this place if you're passing through. I had a filet with mashed potatoes and mushrooms, It was delicious. My husband had grilled chicken which he also loved. Would definitely recommend.

I am a couple days late with my review, we ate lunch at Texas Steak and Grill on Tuesday the Sept 23rd. It was wonderful, we could tell by driving up that it was going to be a great place to eat. Small town, local cafe, parking lot full. It did not disappoint!! Starting with the service everything was awesome, food to die for (we each had the Chicken Fried Steak, mine with mashed potatoes and white gravy, and broccoli covered with cheddar cheese, hers with a bake potato - loaded). The waitress was friendly and even gave us info on some wineries to visit as we had inquired about them. I didn't get her name, but on the receipt it shows Server 23. She was very nice, friendly and chatted with us some. The whole experience again was super. We highly recommend stopping in while your in the area, or make it the destination, It's that good.
